Digital Transformation Forum will focus on ways digital information technologies are contributing to better governance but also to the work of media and civil society watchdogs, making sure that policies and their implementation serve the people. Government representatives, journalists, civil society experts, and communication professionals will interact with peers attending from over 30 countries for 2 days of sessions, focusing on more efficient and honest governments, effective media and civic activism.

Government representatives, journalists, civil society experts, and communication professionals will interact with peers attending from over 30 countries for 2 days of sessions, focusing on more efficient and honest governments, effective media and civic activism.
Participants will explore issues such as digital outreach strategies, tools for government transparency and accountability, truth seeking instruments, e-government programs, open data, strategic plans for social media, Internet governance, anti-corruption practices, and mobile and participatory journalism, among others.


Faculty, students, journalists and public servants have free entrance.
Access into the venue is done in such cases based on the mandatory online registration [click here].
At the entrance into the Aula, students must present their school IDs, and faculty/journalists/public servants must present their IDs/proving documents.

U.S. Department of State - Office of Citizen Exchanges

The Office of Citizen Exchanges (OCE) is part of the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). The ECA's mission is to increase mutual understanding between the people of the U.S. and the people of other countries by means of educational and cultural exchange that assist in the development of peaceful relations. Artists, educators, athletes, students, youth, and rising leaders in the U.S.A. and more than 160 countries around the globe participate in academic, cultural, sports, and professional exchanges.
The Office of Citizen Exchanges gives American and foreign participants the opportunity to gain knowledge and share their expertise and experience through professional, youth, cultural, and sports exchange programs.

Digital Communication Network

Digital Communication Network (DCN) is an international association connecting professionals of the digital age from a variety of backgrounds, in order to generate ideas, tools, and products for media outlets, civil society organizations, businesses, and public authorities.
DCN developed a network of over 3000 professionals from over 30 countries in Europe & Central Asia.
DCN activities are organized at world level and include topics such as: cross-country and cross-sector projects within network, professional exchange programs in the region and the U.S.A., camps, trainings, hackathons, networking events, developing digital tools, media products, and educational materials.

Romanian-American University

RAU is one of the most prestigious private universities in Romania, an elite provider of education and research for students and faculty.In 2015, RAU received the "High Confidence Rating" certification (the best of all possible distinctions) from the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ARACIS), full member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and registered in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education - EQAR.

U.S. Embassy in Romania

U.S. Embassy in Romanian supports the organization of this event, for the first time in Romania.
